DETERMINING THE DATES OF GREENFIELD MEETINGS:

SPRING DATE:  Greenfield Group meets each spring on the last Monday of April (set at this date to avoid all schol holidays as our members want to spend that time with family).

FALL DATE: Greenfield Group meets each fall on the first Monday after American Thanksgiving (On October 6, 1941, the U.S. Congress passed resolution fixing the traditional last-Thursday of November date for the holiday beginning in 1942. However, in December of that year the Senate passed an amendment to the resolution requiring that Thanksgiving be observed annually on the fourth Thursday of November, which was sometimes the last Thursday and sometimes (less frequently) the next to last. On December 26, 1941 President Roosevelt signed this bill, setting the date of Thanksgiving under federal law.)
