Greenfield Group Minutes

Since 1927
A Unitarian Universalist Ministers Study Group

Greenfield Group
April 27, 2011
Barbaara C. Harris Camp and Conference Center
Greenfield, New Hampshire

Meeting was called to order at 11:00 by Moderator Josh Pawelek

Minutes from fall accepted.

Treasurer=s Report

Bob Thayer reported $1761 was realized from the fall levy.  Total in the bank was $2216  which means we have enough to pay the balance for this conference, place deposits for fall (2011) and spring (2012) and will still have around $1100 in our account.  The report was accepted with thanks.

Scribe=s Report

Scribe has taken over registrations and works closely with Bob (copying Josh - as Moderator - on most emails) on registrations, collections, and contracts with BCH.

Just a reminder that if you register for a session, you may cancel up to six weeks before the date of the convocation.  Cancellations after that time means you are liable for all payments to BCH.

Anchor Report

The group decided that check in should include only general comments, perhaps lists general to the group rather than to individuals . . . . There was some concern about the Anchor Report being in public space on the web site.  As the report contains personal items, it was decided that the Anchor Report should be in a password protected directory.

The Scribe noted that it has been increasingly difficult to get digital copies of anchor reports and papers for the web site.

Absences:

Rosmary Brae McNaught (unexcused - absent 6 of last 9 including last three)

There were no new member nominees.

The Nominating Committee will report a slate to start its term in spring 2011. Jim Sherblom is slated to become the new Moderator next spring.

The Historian reported that the move of records from Harvard to Meadville is on hold as Meadville is in transition and will be moving from its current location.

Purchaser of the Spirits and Goodies held the annual sale of left over goods.

Web Site Maven: Brian Kopke reported that he is glad that he will be reimbursed for several years of web site bills.

 The Keeper of the Gong and Stapler, Anita Farber, had to leave early. She carried out her duties admirably.

Our Caring Maven passed around a card for Tom.

Our Cantor, Joel Miller, was absent so without fanfare Bob Thayer seemed to take over.
