What is a Unitiarian Universalist?
How can I find a chruch?
How do you become a minister?
Do they have Sunday School?
What is their history?

Greenfield Group, a semi-annual gathering of Unitarian Universlaist Ministers, meets to discuss papers and common readings related to a chosen topic.

This poem was composed by Dick Fewkes one morning in 1972 at Senexet House where Greenfield group met for many years.

SENEXET SUNLIGHT MORNING

Standing by the rounded waters of the shore
Watching the rows of tall stately pines
Thrusting like surging rockets
towards the heavens - -
Arching the back, craning the neck
To see the outermost limits.

The lake lies cool and calm and placid
Observing this rash and regal display of power
With the sure and silent wisdom
Of centuries in its eyes,
Knowing with a peace beyond understanding
That what goes up must come down
To begin again this journey
Of whirling global orbs of light.

Sun shafts break in streemers through the trees,
Dancing phosphorescent fingers across the face
Of Roseland waters
Singing the eternal song of the stars
We are here
We have arrived
We shall continue on our way
To the ends of space and back again.
And then “Amen”,
And then “Amen.”

Richard M. Fewkes/1972
